Prophet Sulaimān ﷺ (Solomon) was the son of Dāwūd ﷺ and inherited the kingdom of Israel. Allah blessed him with a kingdom unmatched in the history of mankind. He was given command over the wind, jinn, animals, and could understand the speech of all creatures.
His hoopoe bird brought him news of the Queen of Sheba (Bilqīs), who ruled a magnificent kingdom but worshipped the sun. Sulaimān ﷺ sent her a letter in the name of Allah, invited her to Islam, and she ultimately submitted. He built the great Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. He asked Allah for "a kingdom never given to anyone after me" — and Allah granted it.
