Prophet Al-Yasa' ﷺ (Elisha) was a devoted student and companion of Ilyās ﷺ and became his successor in prophethood. He carried on the call to monotheism among the Israelites after Ilyās ﷺ.
The Quran singles him out alongside Dhul-Kifl ﷺ and praises him among "the best of the good." Despite the brevity of Quranic mention, he is ranked among the most honoured prophets. He is identified with Elisha in the Biblical tradition and is noted for performing many miracles in the service of his people.
