سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (33) ・ الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ (33) ・ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (34)

Transliteration

SubḥānAllāh (33×) · Alḥamdulillāh (33×) · Allāhu Akbar (34×)

Translation

Glory be to Allāh (33×) · All praise be to Allāh (33×) · Allāh is the Greatest (34×)

Virtue: The Prophet ﷺ said this is better than a servant for you. It will strengthen you more than a servant would.

Transliteration

Bismika Allāhumma amūtu wa aḥyā

When lying down to sleep

اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ

Transliteration

Allāhumma aslamtu nafsī ilayk, wa fawwaḍtu amrī ilayk, wa wajjahtu wajhī ilayk, wa alja'tu ẓahrī ilayk, āmantu bikitābikal-ladhī anzalt, wa nabiyyikal-ladhī arsalt

Translation

O Allāh, I have submitted myself to You, delegated my affairs to You, turned my face towards You and totally relied upon You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent.

Virtue: The Prophet ﷺ said: If you die that night you will die upon the Fiṭrah (natural state of Islam).
