الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أحَيانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdu lillāhil-ladhī aḥyānā ba'da mā amātanā wa-ilayhin-nushūr
All praise is for Allāh who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ
Allāhumma bika aṣbaḥnā, wa bika amsaynā, wa bika naḥyā, wa bika namūtu, wa ilaykan-nushūr
O Allāh, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the final return.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillāhil-ladhī lā yaḍurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā'i wa huwas-samī'ul-'alīm
In the name of Allāh, with whose name nothing is harmed in the earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
SubḥānAllāhi wa biḥamdih
Glory be to Allāh and all praise is for Him.
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Ḥasbiyallāhu lā ilāha illā huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwas rabbul-'arshil-'aẓīm
Allāh is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Majestic Throne.
Recitation: the full verse, Quran 9:129.
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
Allāhumma bika amsaynā, wa bika aṣbaḥnā, wa bika naḥyā, wa bika namūtu, wa ilaykal-maṣīr
O Allāh, by You we enter the evening and by You we enter the morning, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is our return.
أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّه، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّه، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
Amsaynā wa amsal-mulku lillāh, wal-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah
We have reached the evening, and the whole kingdom of Allāh has reached the evening. All praise is for Allāh. None has the right to be worshipped but Allāh alone, He has no partner.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ・ الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ ・ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ・ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
SubḥānAllāh (33×) · Alḥamdulillāh (33×) · Allāhu Akbar (33×) then: Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr
Glory be to Allāh (33×) · All praise be to Allāh (33×) · Allāh is the Greatest (33×) — then: None has the right to be worshipped but Allāh alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He has power over all things.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Allāhumma antas-salāmu wa minkas-salāmu, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-ikrām
O Allāh, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.
بِسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Bismika Allāhumma amūtu wa aḥyā
In Your name, O Allāh, I die and I live.
اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ
Allāhumma aslamtu nafsī ilayk, wa fawwaḍtu amrī ilayk, wa wajjahtu wajhī ilayk, wa alja'tu ẓahrī ilayk, āmantu bikitābikal-ladhī anzalt, wa nabiyyikal-ladhī arsalt
O Allāh, I have submitted myself to You, delegated my affairs to You, turned my face towards You and totally relied upon You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (33) ・ الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ (33) ・ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (34)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Bismillāh
In the name of Allāh.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ
Bismillāhi awwalahu wa ākhirahu
In the name of Allāh at the beginning and the end of it.
الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Alḥamdulillāhil-ladhī aṭ'amanā wa saqānā wa ja'alanā muslimīn
All praise is for Allāh who fed us, gave us to drink, and made us Muslims.
اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي، وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي
Allāhumma aṭ'im man aṭ'amanī, wasqi man saqānī
O Allāh, feed the one who fed me and give drink to the one who gave me to drink.
أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ، وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَبْرَارُ، وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ
Aftara 'indakumuṣ-ṣā'imūn, wa akala ṭa'āmakumul-abrār, wa ṣallat 'alaykumul-malā'ikah
May the fasting people break their fast with you, may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels send blessings upon you.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillāhi walajnā, wa bismillāhi kharajnā, wa 'alallāhi rabbinā tawakkalnā
In the name of Allāh we enter, in the name of Allāh we leave, and upon Allāh our Lord we place our trust.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Bismillāh, tawakkaltu 'alallāh, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh
In the name of Allāh, I place my trust in Allāh, and there is no might or power except with Allāh.
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbighfir lī wa liwālidayya warḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā
My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allāhumma iftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik
O Allāh, open for me the gates of Your mercy.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Allāhumma innī as'aluka min faḍlik
O Allāh, I ask You of Your bounty.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Bismillāh
In the name of Allāh.
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ، وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan 'abduhu wa rasūluh. Allāhummaj'alnī minat-tawwābīn, waj'alnī minal-mutaṭahhirīn
I testify there is no god but Allāh alone, He has no partner, and I testify that Muḥammad is His servant and messenger. O Allāh, make me of those who repent and make me of those who purify themselves.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khabā'ith
O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from all evil and evil-doers.
غُفْرَانَكَ
Ghufrānak
I seek Your forgiveness.
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
SubḥānaI-ladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahū muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn
Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us, and we could not have done it by ourselves. And verily, to our Lord we will return.
Recitation: the full verses, Quran 43:13-14.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى، اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ
Allāhumma innā nas'aluka fī safarinā hādhal-birra wat-taqwā, wa minal-'amali mā tarḍā. Allāhumma hawwin 'alaynā safaranā hādhā waṭwi 'annā bu'dah
O Allāh, we ask You during this journey for righteousness, piety and deeds that are pleasing to You. O Allāh, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us.
آيِبُونَ، تَائِبُونَ، عَابِدُونَ، لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
Āyibūn, tā'ibūn, 'ābidūn, lirabbinā ḥāmidūn
Returning, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allāhumma anta rabbī lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa anā 'abduk, wa anā 'alā 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastaṭa't, a'ūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣana't, abū'u laka bini'matika 'alayy, wa abū'u laka bidhanbī faghfir lī fa'innahū lā yaghfirudh-dhunūba illā ant
O Allāh, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am trying to keep my covenant and promise to You as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings and I acknowledge my sin. Forgive me, for there is no one who forgives sins except You.
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Astaghfirullāhal-'aẓīmalladhī lā ilāha illā huwal-ḥayyul-qayyūmu wa atūbu ilayh
I seek forgiveness from Allāh, the Magnificent, He besides whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ
SubḥānakaLlāhumma wa biḥamdik, wa tabārakasmuK, wa ta'ālā jadduk, wa lā ilāha ghayruk
Glory be to You O Allāh and all praise, blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god but You.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A'ūdhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allāh from the evil of what He has created.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillāhil-ladhī lā yaḍurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā'i wa huwas-samī'ul-'alīm
In the name of Allāh, with whose name nothing is harmed in the earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
لَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
Lā ba'sa ṭahūrun in shā'allāh
Do not worry, it will be a purification, if Allāh wills.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Allāhumma rabban-nās, adh-hibil-ba's, washfi antas-shāfī, lā shifā'a illā shifā'uk, shifā'an lā yugādiru saqamā
O Allāh, Lord of the people, remove the difficulty and cure him/her. You are the One who cures. There is no cure except Your cure — a cure that leaves no illness.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ (3×) · أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ (7×)
Bismillāh (3×) · A'ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihī min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir (7×)
In the name of Allāh (3×) · I seek refuge in Allāh and in His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear (7×)
لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn
There is no god but You. Glory be to You! Truly I have been among the wrongdoers.
Recitation: the full verse, Quran 21:87.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa ḍala'id-dayn, wa ghalabatir-rijāl
O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt, and from being overpowered by men.
إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ · اللَّهُمَّ آجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا
Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rāji'ūn · Allāhumma ajurnī fī muṣībatī wa akhlif lī khayran minhā
Indeed we belong to Allāh and to Him we will return · O Allāh, reward me in my affliction and replace it for me with something better.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
Allāhumma innī astakhīruka bi'ilmika, wa astaqdiruka biqudratika, wa as'aluka min faḍlikal-'aẓīm, fa'innaka taqdiru wa lā aqdiru, wa ta'lamu wa lā a'lamu, wa anta 'allāmul-ghuyūb
O Allāh, I consult You through Your knowledge, and I seek strength through Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty; for You are capable and I am not, and You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ، وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ، وَنُثْنِي عَلَيْكَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ، نَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ، وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ يَفْجُرُكَ
Allāhumma innā nasta'īnuka wa nastaghfiruk, wa nu'minu bika wa natawakkalu 'alayk, wa nuthnī 'alaykal-khayra kullahu, nashkuruka wa lā nakfuruk, wa nakhla'u wa natruku man yafjuruk
O Allāh, we seek Your help and ask Your forgiveness, and we believe in You and have trust in You. We praise You in the best way, we thank You and are not ungrateful, and we forsake and turn away from the one who disobeys You.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ
Allāhumma rabba hādhihid-da'watit-tāmmah, was-ṣalātil-qā'imah, āti Muḥammadanil-wasīlata wal-faḍīlah, wab'athu maqāman maḥmūdanil-ladhī wa'adtah
O Allāh, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer to be offered, grant Muḥammad the privilege (of intercession) and also the eminence, and resurrect him to the praised station that You have promised him.
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, yuḥyī wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khayr, wa huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr
There is no god but Allāh alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise. He gives life and causes death. He is living and never dies. In His hand is all goodness, and He has power over all things.
اللَّهُمَّ أَغْثْنَا، اللَّهُمَّ أَغْثْنَا، اللَّهُمَّ أَغْثْنَا
Allāhumma aghthnā, Allāhumma aghthnā, Allāhumma aghthnā
O Allāh, send us rain. O Allāh, send us rain. O Allāh, send us rain.
